Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a win against Punjab Kings(PBKS) on March 26 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In this match, batting first PBKS scored 176 runs and in answer to that RCB made this target with 4 balls to spare. The last overs of the innings the Dinesh Karthik’s cameo led RCB to their first win this season.

RCB started their innings with skipper Faf Du Plessis getting out in the third over. RCB kept losing the wickets but Virat Kohli stood tall at one end of the pitch and smashed 77 runs off just 49 balls with a strike rate of 157.14. For this knock, he was awarded the Player of the Match. With this knock, he is currently holding the orange cap.

Earlier, this year reports circulated that BCCI is not considering Virat Kohli for the upcoming T20 World in the USA and West Indies. When these reports went viral, social media erupted and wars began between the fans. A few Cricket experts also gave their opinions on these reports.

After yesterday’s match during the post-match presentation, Virat said that his name is attached to promoting the game in parts of the world. Earlier this year, when ICC released the posters of the T20 World Cup Virat was there in the poster representing the Indian team.

Virat Kohli said, “I know my name is now attached to just promoting the game in different parts of the world when it comes to T20 cricket, I’ve still got it I guess”.

Virat made his comeback through IPL

Virat made his comeback to the T20I team in the series against Afghanistan. With Virat, Rohit also returned to the T20I side after the exit from T20 World Cup 2022 against England. During the 5-match Test series against England Virat was not available due to the birth of his second child. Virat was Anushka was blessed with a boy, named Akaay Kohli. He made his comeback to competitive Cricket in the IPL’s first match against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
