YouTuber Elvish yadav will appear in court in Gurugram next week in connection with the assault case of content producer Sagar Thakur alias Max Turn, police said on Wednesday.

The court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Gurugram Harsh Kumar set its sights on March 27 on an application for their extradition filed by the police, they said. Sector 53 SHO Rajendra Kumar said police had filed an application in court on Wednesday.

On March 8, Yadav was caught in a video slapping Thakur. He was seen throwing Thakur to the ground and then punching him. After the incident, Thakur approached the police and lodged a complaint against Yadav and others at the Sector 53 police station.

The Uttar Pradesh police will produce Yadav in the Gurugram court on March 27 and then the Gurugram police will take him to the police custody for interrogation,” SHO Kumar said. Earlier, the Gurugram police issued two notices to join the search for Yadav, but he did not turn up. ​ He also shared a picture with Thakur through his social media handle and wrote “brotherhood in heaven” on the caption. Yadav was booked by the Noida police for 14 days on Sunday for administering smem poison to a rave party.
