Nag Ashwin directs “Kalki 2898 AD,” a highly anticipated sci-fi film that merges futuristic themes with Indian mythology. The movie features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas ,Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. It tells the story of Ashwatthama, an immortal warrior, and Bhairava, a bounty hunter, set in a dystopian future where they navigate complex conflicts involving mythical elements and advanced technology.

Production Budget and Scale

The film’s budget is around Rs 600 crore, with Rs 150 crore allocated specifically for visual effects(VFX), which highlights the film’s high production value, and importance of advanced visuals, and the importance of advanced visual effects in its storytelling.

The breakdown of day two collections across different languages reveals the Telugu version leading with Rs 25.65 crore, followed by Hindi at Rs 22.5 crore, Tamil at Rs 3.5 crore, Malayalam at Rs 2 crore, and Kannada at Rs 0.35 crore. The film’s global earnings stood at Rs 191.5 crore after its first day, indicating strong international appeal.

We initially planned to release the product on May 30, but we postponed the release with possible new dates being June 30 or July. Filmmakers are actively promoting the film on social media with updates and reveals to maintain audience interest and build anticipation.
